Ayurveda Association of Singapore (AAOS) was founded by a group of active and committed Ayurvedic enthusiasts who are interested in popularising this oldest healing science. What was mooted as an idea finally came into being with the official formation of the AAOS registered under the Society's Act of Singapore (Registration No: T09SS0026F ).
The AAOS is a non-profit organisation and is a collective voice of Ayurveda and traditional medicine. Its members comprise not only of Ayurvedic doctors and practitioners but also those who are genuinely interested in this science, be it for self-knowledge or for popularising this oldest medicinal science.
Even though traditional medicine industry is booming globally, questions are arising from all avenues about the quality, safety and efficacy of the Ayurvedic medicines in the present world of unethical commercialization.
Role of Singapore as a Traditional Medicine hub is evident as it has already regulated the Chinese Traditional Medicine system with great care for its quality and safety. Ayurveda can be the next step for Singapore for medical hub and the AAOS aims to work hand in hand with all relevant bodies in setting quality safety and standards in both the practice and medicine of Ayurveda |
