AAS Graduate Homecoming Celebration

The inaugural Graduate Homecoming Celebration held at the High Commission was the first large scale event involving the returning graduates from all the Australian universities, and the event has the full support of the Australian Government.

The Governor-General of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), graced the event as our Guest-of-Honour, along with our distinguished guests:

  • Minister Lim Swee Say, Minister for Manpower
  • Mrs Elaine Lim, Spouse of Minister Lim
  • His Excellency Mr Burhan Gafoor, Singapore High Commissioner to Australia
  • Ms Zarina Varukatty, Spouse of H.E. Mr Gafoor

With 33 Australian universities and supporting organisations as well as 29 employers and exhibitors supporting our Graduate Homecoming celebration, the event attracted the participation of 630 Australian alumni, employer and exhibitor representatives as well as leaders from various Australian Universities, public and private sector organisations.
