    NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

    Notice is hereby given that the 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Australian Alumni Singapore will be held as follows:

    Agenda:

    1. To receive the Annual Report 
    2. To receive the Statement of Accounts for 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017
    3. To elect 7 Management Committee Members (nomination form to be received two weeks before the AGM in accordance with Article X(4))
    4. To elect an Auditor (nomination form to be received two weeks before the AGM in accordance with Article X(4))
    5. To consider any other business for which prior written notice has been received two weeks before AGM in accordance with Article VII(2)
    6. To discuss general business

    Important Notes:

    1. This event is for AAS members only.  Only ordinary, life and institutional members may vote.
    2. Each Institution member may send one representative to attend and vote.  Please notify the Secretariat of your attending representative in advance of the AGM.
    3. Eligible non-members may apply for membership online HERE
    4. We require you to register your attendance with the AAS Secretariat, preferably by 22nd March, Monday:
      1. for security reasons; and
      2. to check that you are a current member of AAS.
      3. in order to allow us time to arrange your refreshments.

    This is to avoid a situation where there is not enough catering for everyone and a line at registration for security checks and to check your eligibility to attend the AGM.

    Directions

    1. Regrettably, there is no parking within the Residence, however, parking is available around the area
    2. Entry into White House Park it should be entry from Dalvey Road and exit would be through Stevens Road.

Individual Membership

1.  I apply for membership of AAS for the current calendar year ending December 31.

2.  I declare that the information I am providing in support of this application is true and correct.

3.  I declare that I meet the eligibility criteria for membership. 

4.  If AAS admits me to membership, I undertake to abide by the Constitution of AAS (and any alteration or amendment to it) and to comply with such rules made under it.

5.  I undertake to make payment of the relevant Membership Fees within 2 weeks of this application:

6.  I understand that my application will only be processed upon receipt by AAS of all payments due.

7.  I fully consent to receive messages and materials from AAS or AAS' service providers, including but not limited to services, events, promotions or otherwise that are offered to me as part of my membership with AAS, regardless via telephone, mail, electronic mail or any other form of communication.

8. I further consent to the collection, use and disclosure of my personal data collected by AAS for the above-mentioned purposes and for purposes related to my membership of AAS.

Institutional Membership

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

All Personal Data held by us will be kept confidential, but we may, where such disclosure is necessary to satisfy the purpose, or a directly-related purpose for which
the Personal Data was collected, provide such information to the following parties:
a) Any person or company who is acting for, jointly or on our behalf, in respect of the purpose or a directly-related purpose for which the Personal Data was
provided;
b) Any financial institutions, charge or credit card issuing companies, credit bureau, or collection agencies necessary to establish and support the payment of any

c) Any government authority in compliance with any applicable laws, rules and regulations, codes of practices, guidelines, court order, other legal processes or

5. Withdrawal of Consent

Should you wish to withdraw your consent from receiving marketing information and/or survey, you may send us the appropriate withdrawal request by filling up the Consent Withdrawal Form (located below) and sending the same to secretariat@aas.org.sg. Please note that we can only process Consent Withdrawal Forms that are properly filled up and may need to contact you for clarification if such forms are deemed to be incomplete or unclear in any way.

6. Access and Correction of Personal Data

If you wish to access, update or otherwise change or remove any information that you have provided to us, please contact us at secretariat@aas.org.sg using the relevant form below.

7. Accuracy of Personal Data

We will keep all Personal Data collected as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary, taking into account its intended use and the interests of our customers and visitors. Where possible, we will validate the Personal Data provided by using generally accepted practices and guidelines.

8. Protection of Personal Data

We will use our best endeavours to protect your Personal Data against loss or theft, as well as any unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the Personal Data, regardless of the format in which it is held.

9. Retention of Personal Data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as the purposes for which such data is collected or used (as notified to you) continues, or where necessary, for our legal or business purposes.
